If the Compatibility View button is displayed (rhs of the IE8 Address
bar, looks like a torn piece of paper) click it to switch the IE rendering
engine to the IE7 standards version. This should correct any problems.
On Tools>Compatibility View Settings, check the option to "Include updated
website lists from Microsoft" as more than likely the forum sites that you
visit will be on the MS compatibility list as this issue with Forums and
some social networking sites appeared in the beta testing phase. If you
include the MS compatibility sites list, you should not have to adjust the
rendering mode of those sites (and the Compatibility View button will not
appear as before).
Also make sure that you have checked "Automatically recover from rendering
errors with Compatibility View" on the Advanced tab of Internet Options.
Ik keek ook nog even bij Microsoft updates en daar stond bij de optionele een update over Compatibility View!
Nu staat naast de link bovenin een "doorgescheurd" papiertje en dit forum, wat schijnbaar nog niet is aangepast aan IE8, is thans geregistreerd als zodanig in mijn pc en dan heb je geen last meer van gestuiter en verdwijnen van letters. Ook andere sites doen het nu goed.
Als dat doorgescheurde papiertje verder blank is, dan moet je het aanklikken en dan verandert het wat van kleur waarna het probleem is opgelost.
