al dat geklaag over het weer.... in de eerste 5 maanden van ons verblijf in CM slechts regenbuien gehad die 1 of 2 uurtjes duurden. Vandaag echter vanaf 8 uur tot 17 uur geregend. En juist natuurlijk deze dag een fotoshoot georganiseerd. zucht.

Tropical Storm HATO over Pacific Ocean
Issue 6 on 22 August 2017
At 9.00 p.m. LST on 22 August, tropical storm HATO over the upper South China Sea has developed into typhoon, due 360km southeast of Hong Kong, China, or latitude 20.6° North, longitude 117.1° East. With maximum sustained wind about 65 knots or 120 km/hr, the storm is moving west with speed of 14 knots or 25 km/hr to make landfall over southern Guangdong, China by tomorrow (23 August). It will then be downgraded as tropical depression and low-pressure system, respectively, over upper Vietnam.
Typhoon HATO has not affect directly Thailand during 1-2 days.
The advisory is in effect on 22 August 2017, at 11.00 p.m.
The next issue will be at 23 August 2017 at 11.00 a.m.

At 4.00 a.m. LST on 14 September, tropical storm DOKSURI is due at latitude 16.1 degree North, longitude 112.6 degree East, with maximum sustained winds about 90 km/hr. The storm is moving west-northwest at speed of 30 km/hr through Tonkin Bay and make landfall over Hanoi, Vietnam by 15 September. During 14-15 September more rain will be likely with torrential downpour in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South, and during 15-16 it affects the whole country. People should stay tuned for the weather update.
The southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea and the South will intensify during 14-18 September. The winds in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf gets strong with waves up to 2-3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.

With maximum sustained winds about 65 km/hr, the storm moving west at speed of 30 km/hr is forecast to decline to a tropical depression and approach Nan by 16 September. Widespread rains are expected much of the North and the Northeast. Torrential downpours are sometimes accompany with gusty winds. The strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulfs induces abundant rain with torrential downpour in the Central, the East and the South. People should beware of severe weather conditions and possible flash flood. People stay tuned for the weather update. Details of affected areas are as below:
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Lamphun, Lampang, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Tak and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon,
Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Kalasin, and Nakhon Ratchasima.
